Project Description Country: USA Location: Soldotna, AK Total Budget: $5,000 Area of Focus: Water and sanitation Activity Type: Water: Sanitation Summary: Construction of an outhouse at a highly used trail system in Soldotna, AK The project is the construction of an outhouse located at the Wolverine trailhead of the Tsalteshi Trail System in Soldotna, AK. The trail system is highly used by multiple groups throughout the year. Presently there are no restrooms or outhouses on the system. The need for an outhouse facility has become apparent as the trail system has expanded and use has increased. The timeline for the project is from June or July through August, 2015 for the construction of the outhouse. The project funds will be used to pay for the site preparation, concrete foundation, and timber package of the outhouse. The club will be involved in the planning and labor of the construction.
