Project Description

Country: USA

Location: Eagle River AK

Total Budget: $5,000

Areas of Focus: Basic education and literacy, Economic and community development

Activity Type: Education: General

Summary: Develop a Junior RYLA program for 7th and 8th graders.

Develop a Junior RYLA program for 7th and 8th graders, the program would be mirrored after the high school version of RYLA. Putting together a Jr. RYLA program would require the expertise of local Rotarians and a substantial amount of volunteer work to make the program successful. This new program would be publicized by our club and district web sites, our Facebook page, flyers, brochures and most importantly, word of mouth by Rotarians. Students would receive T-Shirt, bag, and Certificate. The camp would be hosted at a off site facility, and we would bring in a facilitator(s) to address the children.
