Project Description Country: USA Location: Buhl Idaho Total Budget: $932 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Literacy Summary: 144 Appledumpling Adventure books and teaching resources to the 3rd grade students in our community In the past we have furnished Dictionaries to all 3rd graders in the area, but with modern technology taking that place, we feel the "Apple Dumpling Adventure" books would be a better choice. This will teach the 4 way test to the young people and allow us to distribute a take home book to each student in the 4 school within our area. Local Rotarians will get a chance to talk about the Rotary 4 way test before the books are distributed. We will provide a teachers classroom kit if the teacher wants to expand beyond the book itself. Our club will also have a starter kit for the Rotarian to read before they go to the classroom.
