Project Description Country: USA Location: United States-Arizona Total Budget: $3,801 Area of Focus: None Activity Type: Education: Literacy Summary: Provide dictionaries for 2476 3rd graders in 30 schools in Peoria Unified & Glendale Elementary Districts The three Rotary Clubs, Peoria, Peoria North and Glendale West will come together to put labels in the dictionaries with the four way test and Rotary clubs names. Rotarian in teams of 2-3 will personally distribute the dictionaries to all third grade student. This h=year we are adding some of Glendale Elementary School District third grade class. These schools have never received dictionaries before. By providing a literacy tool to these children, in many cases this will be the child's only book at home News articles will appear in the Glendale Star, Peoria Times Club websites and cubs social media. WITH THREE CLUBS DOING THIS PROJECT, THE 4051.50 AMOUNT IS WITHIN GUIDELINES Addendum to Project Description (added after the project was signed) There are still a few schools to complete this project. All the third graders who received thee dictionaries so far have been very excited. Will submit final report along with bills and breakdown upon completion.
