Technology is a major part of the 21st Century and it is priority number one ensuring that children within our community are fully educated in the use of technology and how to use it securely. The program is designed to educate children on program operation and Internet Essentials. Internet Essentials are engaging and exciting project experiences that provide children of all ability levels with a foundation of technology skills that explore three central themes: building, exploring and communicating. Staff can tailor experiences by selecting from over 40 activities designed for beginner, intermediate and advanced levels.
Technology Needs:
o 2 computers and monitors ($700/ea)
o 1 Digital Video/Still Camera ($500)
o 2 preselected program tables ($150/ea)
o 6 chairs ($50/ea)
Our club is requesting a matching grant to fund the tables and chairs for the technology training center at a cost of $2,500. Kingman Route 66 Rotary will contribute $1,000 and the Kingman Rotary Club will contribute $500 to support this project. We are requesting an additional $1,000 in District Matching Grant funds. This would pay for 2 technology stations. We would like to complete this project by October 31, 2015.
The Kingman Route 66 Club will help set-up the technology center.
