Project Description Country: USA Location: United States Total Budget: $1,500 Areas of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment, Maternal and child health, Economic and community development Activity Type: Health: General Summary: Children's dental clinic in Ogallala, NE to promote good dental care, detection and prevention of dental health issues. Within our community we have families without dental insurance and without sufficient income to have annual dental exams. We are concerned that children are not receiving basic dental care due to the expense which leads to a lack of preventative action to curb dental health issues. Our club plans to partner with the local school district and the private schools and host a Children's Dental Clinic in the spring 2016. We will utilize the grant funding to pay for the cleanings and exams done by local dentists and we would also like to provide each child with a toothbrush and toothpaste. This project will promote positive health within the children of our community and help assist those families who are in poverty or lower incomes to provide their children with proper dental care.
