Project Description

Country: USA

Location: Rupert

Total Budget: $1,000

Area of Focus: Economic and community development

Activity Type: Community Development: General

Summary: 10 sets of junior golf clubs for the use on the Wee Links

The Wee Links Golf Course is up and running thanks to our Rupert Rotarians as well as grants that we have received from Rotary District 5400. We need to purchase 10 sets of junior golf clubs for the use on the Wee Links. We have 82 kids signed up for the junior program and only about 15 sets right now. The total cost is $1200 dollars plus shipping. Our club members have been involved with this project since its beginning in 2012. We recently hosted a 2015 Wee Links Charity Golf Tournament on May 9th to raise money to finish the clubhouse. We have received a myriad of positive feedback from the community on the fruition of this course for our youth. Thank you for considering us for this much needed grant!

Addendum to Project Description (added after the project was signed)

The clubs that will be used for the Wee Links golf course will require a small fee of $25 for the whole year, albeit, if the kids return them in good condition, they will get $15 back. So they will essentially only be charged a total of $10 for the year to use the clubs.

Your grant application has been reviewed for your Wee Links project. I need clarification as to whether the clubs will be rented to the kids or can they use them for free? Please contact me via phone at (208) 539-1519 with any questions.

Lori, we've seen your addendum to the project. Who will get the money from rental of clubs, the Rotary Club or the golf course?

1-Aug-15

by Lori Johnson

The money we will receive for the rental of the clubs will go back to Wee Links to sustain the program.

If you anticipate a reduction in the total budget, please cancel signature process (description tab – admin.) and adjust your financing to reflect revisions, and then send again for signatures.
