Project Description Country: USA Location: Mission Viejo, CA Total Budget: $4,000 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Scholarships Summary: 3 scholarships: Saddleback College, Mission Viejo and Laguna Hills High Schools We propose to give a $1,000 scholarship to a continuing Saddleback College student (to be matched by the Saddleback College Foundation), and a $1,500 scholarship to a graduating senior from Mission Viejo High School and from Laguna Hills High School. We will work through the school counselors to select the students and to schedule the presentations at the senior awards ceremonies. A Rotarian will be assigned to each ceremony to present the checks. All checks will be awarded by June 30, 2016. The purpose is to help off-set the cost of higher education.
