Summary: Purchase/Lease E-Books for use by elementary students.
In discussion with school district staff, we were told the schools and many students on their own have computer access. The district cannot fully utilize E-Books for reading instruction and lessons, because the district does not have funding. The project would invest funds to purchase E-Books and also to lease certain titles. Once purchased or leased, students could access the books while at school and from outside computers. The ability to access from different locations allows use even when school is out or when a student is ill and unable to attend.

The funds have been disbursed and the ebooks ordered and obtained. We are awaiting a final tally of books purchased and leased and expect that to be provided by the school district librarian.
