Summary: Installation of 2 new park benches along a local boardwalk.
Barrow has a popular walking area around a lagoon. There is a board walk, but nowhere to sit and relax. Our project would be to purchase and install two permanent park benches along the walkway. The total cost is estimated at $3000, which includes shipping, location preparation and installation. Rotarians will provide labor, and we also have a commitment from the city's parks department to provide assistance and equipment needed. It is hoped that installation will be complete by the Fall of 2015, or Spring of 2016.

Barrow-Nuvuk Rotary Club's project includes the purchase and installation of two park benches on the boardwalk trail that encircles the community's middle lagoon. The benches have been selected and will be ordered in April. Installation will occur sometime in June. Winter weather has caused the delay.
