Project Description Country: USA Location: Arlington, Texas Total Budget: $1,200 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Activity Type: Education: Literacy Summary: Provide learning materials for H.O..P.E. to support the free Extended Reading and Math Tutoring Programs in Arlington, Texas H.O.P.E. endeavors to teach students to love reading and to feel confident with math skills. Our first priority is to help our youngsters gain the feeling of success by giving them a variety of learning materials and learning situations. The monetary grant will support the Extended Reading Program and the Extended Math Program. These two free after-school programs enhance and support the After School Free Tutoring sessions. Arlington West Rotary has members that tutor and one member on the H.O.P.E. Board of Directors. The funds will be immediately applied to fund needed materials that will support the program.
