Summary: Surgical equipment provided to site in Tecate, Mexico facial cleft deformities for the under-served population


This project will provide needed specialty equipment for the Rotary-sponsored Hospital Cerro Azul in order to provide updated equipment for the treatment of children presenting with facial cleft disorders found in the Northern region of Baja, Mexico and serve patients coming from the Sonora Desert as well as from the Tijuana and Tecate regions.

Carlsbad Club Rotarian, Dr. Jeff Moses as well as the United Services Rotarian anesthesiologist, Dr. Nick Pollard, and the Mission Bay Rotarian Operating Nurse, Hon. Patricia Hunter will all participate with this effort as well as the Rotary Club of Carlsbad membership and the Rotary Club of Tecate membership on a triennial basis in the year of this grant.

Grant equipment was delivered to the Hospital by Rotary Club of Carlsbad representatives, Past President, Jeff Schafer and Dr. Jeff Moses and the representatives of the Tecate Mexico Rotary Club. It was used for surgery for many children afflicted with Facial Cleft deformities in Tecate, Mexico on the clinic of November 13-14, 2015. This equipment will be utilized at the Hospital Cerro Azul for many more missions.

The Final Report for this project is impressive; but there are no receipts for any of them items purchased--only a delivery list. There needs to be financial documents (receipts, cancelled check(s), paid invoices, etc) uploaded on the Documents page.
