Rotary Club: Kenai Project Title: Freedom House Decks 1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place? This grant went towards the rebuilding of a deck on the Freedom House recovery center. There are two homes (men and women), both decks needed to either be replaced or repaired and this money allowed them to do that. 2. How many people benefited from this project? 60 3. Who were the beneficiaries, how were they impacted by this project, and what humanitarian need was met? The residents at Freedom House will benefit from this grant as they will have a more accessible outdoor space to spend time while they recover. The decks will allow a space to get outside, to eat and grill, and also for their families to spend time with them. 4. How many Rotarians participated in the project? 6 5. What did they do? Please give at least two examples, not including financial support provided to the project. Our club gave a check to the director of the Freedom House during a presentation where we heard from her about the need for the deck and also what they have planned for the house for the upcoming year. She spoke to us about the history of starting Freedom House and where it is going in the future. 6. If a cooperating organization was involved, what was its role? 7. Income
