Rotary Club: Solana Beach Project Title: Shelter Box USA 1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place? Our donation provided one ShelterBox for a family in need due to a disaster. 2. How many people benefited from this project? One Family 3. Who were the beneficiaries, how were they impacted by this project, and what humanitarian need was met? Here is an update from ShelterBox for its relief efforts in Turkey & Syria following the recent earthquake: ShelterBox Response Teams are in Turkey working alongside Rotarian partners to distribute emergency shelter and critical household items to thousands of families devastated by the earthquakes that claimed more than 50,000 lives. In Northern Syria, we are working with our partner to support over a thousand households in Aleppo with ShelterBox tents, stoves, blankets, mattresses, solar lights, and children's winter coats. A second project is underway to support new arrivals to displacement camps in Idlib with household items. Solana Beach Eco Rotary Club 5. What did they do? Please give at least two examples, not including financial support provided to the project. The club keeps up to date on the activities of Shelter Box USA via reports to our club Ambassador to ShelterBox USA. Several members have also donated individually to the relief effort in Ukraine via ShelterBox USA. And we have them come as speakers to our club. 6. If a cooperating organization was involved, what was its role? Shelter Box USA facilitates the relief efforts in disaster areas around the world. 7. Income
