Rotary Club: La Jolla Golden Triangle Project Title: WAPI Project 2023 1. Describe the project. What was done, when and where did project activities take place? On March 12, 2023 we met at the Great Hall of the International House of UCSD to make WAPIs (Water Pasteurization Indicators) 2. How many people benefited from this project? 778 families or family groups 3. Who were the beneficiaries, how were they impacted by this project, and what humanitarian need was met? Families in Mexico, Haiti and Kenya. They would now be able to tell when heated water was safe to drink at a temperature and fuel saving less than boiling. This met the clean water need 4. How many Rotarians participated in the project? 55 Rotaractors, Rotarians and Interactors 5. What did they do? Please give at least two examples, not including financial support provided to the project. They actually made and tested the Wapis including wiring, heating and crimping and testing the made WAPIs. Packaging was also done 6. If a cooperating organization was involved, what was its role? none 7. Income
