Kuwinda is a slum within Langata that covers an area of about 5 acres and it is populated with over 7000 people . It has residential structures made of tins. The residents do small businesses and most of them work in the nearing business areas and institutions. It is also surrounded with middle and upper class residents. The Needs identified : Build a modern public Toilet within the year Create a waste recycling Program(Already in progress) Water treatment (supply Water tanks at least 3 ) Access to adult education of most of the adults who dropped out of School(10 adults require education) Health and Oral Education (Join the Kenya Smile project on oral health) Community health workers to reach out to the mothers on Mother to child HIV/AIDS intervention (Train 20 Community health workers ) Primary Host Partner District: 9212 Rotary Club of: Karen-Nairobi Primary Contact: Protus Lumiti Email: lmprotus@gmail.com Primary International Partner We are looking for a Club partner.
