Didim is a fast growing nice little town at the Aegean Coast situated between İzmir and Bodrum in the province of Aydın. Its famous Altinkum Beach, the Apollon-Temple - one of the best conserved excavation in Turkey and the nearby located important ancient cities Milet and Priene let become Didim a demanded holiday resort. Didim has 85.000 inhabitants.
In Didim we have a School which named Efeler Middle School already only school in Didim which has a extremly suitable place for the digital library.Efeler Middle School have 800 Students. In Didim we do not have any library to support the students needs, on the other hand this library can be used as public library after school hours until 11 P.M and the weekends because the library has seperated building next to the Efeler Middle School. At the begining Digital Library will have 5 computers 50 e-book readers and multi-functional printer and books. Every year we want to increase the number of e-book readers and the e-books so this project can live continously. Each e-book reader can have hundereds of e-books so young readers do not have to have books one by one especially in vacations, so if they want to change the book that they read they do not have to come back to school to change the book. Another advantage of e-book readers all the library of this devices can be uptaded very easily.
This Digital Library also can be used by parents of the Efeler Middle School after school hours with their childeren to prepare their home Works. The onlined computers printer and other equipments in the Digital Library can help them and this situation also can help to progress parent children relationships.
Every year we can have reading competitions in Digital Library to increase the book reading ratio of students and locals. As an example we can give presents to the three students who reads the more book than the other students to encourage them to read more books than they used to.
