Training costs for Early Childhood Development practitioners for Government NQ. Level 4 qualification status, thus being equipped with required degree of skills level to in turn stimulate and enhance EC's rapid brain development of 3-6 year-olds in Day Care, Pre-School Centres,etc.with the ability to adequately equip them for Junior School& onwards. The drop-out rate in the latter due to many social ills in broken and poor family structures places a high priority on this initiative.
The project takes place in 2 Phases, the starting with qualification at the 1st Level NQ L2, over a period of 8mths, training costs of 34 practitioners being ZAR R11400 X 34 = R387,600. Phase 2 over a similar period for NQL 4 ZAR R 18240 X 34 = R620,160 -TOTAL R1,007,760.It will be seen that Phase 2 will fall into Rotary Year 2016/17 and Clubs/Districts are able to budget accordingly.
Rotarians from 4/5 participating clubs locally will form part of a Steering Committee and will include Educational Classificational skills.
DDF contributions in grey are pending approval of the corresponding district committee.
Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
