Areas of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment, Water, sanitation and hygiene
moto primqary school is situated in Molo sub-county of Nakuru County in Kenya. The pupil population is 1500,of which 800are girls and 700boys. School on first experience looks like it is preferred by parents in this area! But No!The school came into existence following the most unfortunate 2007/2008 Post Election Violence (PEV)in Kenya;crowding together thousands of Internally Displaced Persons (IDPs) with their school going children-the reason for this large pupil population.Rotarians from the Rotary Club of Nakuru The Great Rift Valley ,District 9212 visited the school to donate the sanitary towels to needy girls in the school thinking this was their most needed help. We were wrong! The most urgent need of this school is provision of clean water for drinking, cooking and washing to wad off pending health hazards on pupils in this school. It is pathetic that the children scoop the dirty residual rainwater for washing hands and classrooms.
Interventions:
RAINWATER HARVESTING
The Rotary Club of Nakuru-The Great Rift Valley would be most grateful to find funds to assist this needy cause

Project Status
Dropped
This project has been "Dropped". Check the history log entries to see why it was dropped.
Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
