Wanaduma Children's Home is a child care institution situated at Karunga village Gilgil in Nakuru County, Kenya. The community around donated an 8 acre piece of land for the construction and development of the children's home. The home is in dire need of clean water for drinking, cooking and washing. Also needed for the home are income generating activities for sustainability of the home.
The entry point is therefore the supply of clean water from the river frontage close to this home. The subsequent requirements are: Greenhouse; open drip irrigation; poultry shed and fish pond for food and sales to the local community for income generation. The development of trees nursery will assist in improving the environment, and also provide the local community with trees for sale, further improving the income generation.
