Which community needs will the project meet and how these needs have been identified? Provide relevant data or research findings?

We are working with an underserved clientele not only material resources but also lack of information and training. Through enrollment in other skills and as a result of the interviews was possible to detect that many would like to learn to play an instrument or be closer to the music.

Explain how your project will address these needs of the community?

Musical Instruments:

We believe that music develops connectivity in learning, such as, cognitive processes helps to process and retain information, as well as assist in solving problems and consequent behavioral equilibrium. So that is one of the typical characteristics of human beings is to enjoy, play, sing, dance and create music.

Music is not just one way in which we connect and create bonds. It literally shapes our brains, it appears that music is also able to enhance our cognitive functions.

So, our goal is to transform the way of life of these people through knowledge, resulting in a new approach at their daily routines improving their actions through the application of new knowledge.

How community members were involved in planning the project? The project aligns with some local activity already underway?

The members were involved through the work we do for 12 years in the community with ongoing professional training in the areas of gastronomy, administration and sewing. The project aligns with our activities, being a continuation of our work.

Goals that will support your activity?

We will support the goal of economic development within the community, because once trained will be able to generate income that will contribute to improving the quality of life of the context in which they live.

How will reach the goals?

Through the realization of this project intensifying the activities of reflection groups, valuing the knowledge of music and musical instruments, where trainees will exercise their reasoning ability, and hearing sensitivity.

How will you assess / measure its impact?

The impact will be assessed according to the changes that will occur within the community through changing look over their lives, the initiative of doing the work and consequently the improvement of cultural, economic and social conditions.
