Rotary Club jointly Firmat and Road to Victory Foundation campaigns for Breast Cancer Prevention.
BASIS:
In Argentina 1 in 9 women die from breast cancer, so it is important to note that 95% of cases can be cured if detected early. Only a mammogram is the most effective method to prevent it.
PROJECT PURPOSE:
Strengthen early detection of breast cancer by purchasing a mammogram and the creation of the Diagnostic and Statistical Unit Mammography thus improve the quality of anomaly detection, with a unit of the latest generation.
BENEFICIARIES:
Women without major resources Firmat 35 years and the entire region.
INVESTMENT:
The requested amount is (U$S 35.000 Dolars) to cover the costs of equipment and the cost of installation and operation of the project.
Purpose of Project:
Since 2009 to date with Rotary Club Foundation Firmat Road to Victory performed more than 6,000 free mammograms to women without resources. Generating not only prevention but also an alarming statistic. For this reason it is considering acquiring a mammogram emergency, improving diagnostic capability, service quality and costs thereof. In this way we help to protect the health of the most vulnerable women. Adding to the Rotary clubs of the region perform this task for both women Firmat as 10 neighboring towns.
