Rotary Green Park is situated within the area of Siddartha Children and women hospital, Butwal. Siddhartha Children & Women Hospital in Butwal (Town in Western Nepal) started functioning from 2nd November 1998. This is the first pediatric hospital outside the capital city. The hospital has very peculiarly integrated the general hospital services for women and children as well. Providing specialty services for Children and Women have acquired more than 6.5 hector of land from local/HMG authority for the use of hospital. Hospital building, and other blocks are constructed using resource of local stakeholders and from kind support of AMDA Japan. Hospital is serving the community with more than 100 numbers of beds. No of average patients arrive in the hospital are 300 per day.
Popular Japanese newspaper 'Mainichi' had taken the initiative to raise funds for the construction of this hospital. Famous Japanese Architect Mr. Ando Tadao had volunteered to design the hospital. The hospital is located near to the birthplace of Lord Buddha (Buddhist God). The hospital itself has been named after Buddha's childhood name, Siddhartha.
Butwal Municipality, Butwal Chambers of Commerce and Industries and District Development Committee, Rupandehi have been mobilized to contribute for the maintenance phase of the hospital.
Besides this, local Rotary Clubs are supporting the hospital in many ways such as: providing medical equipment, providing logistic support to patients, planting trees, providing bench etc
