The Rotary Club of Dhulikhel has identified three schools that are in desperate need of school equipment including furniture, computer equipment, and toilet facilities. The students have only broken desks and benches, no toilet facilities, and no computer equipment. This global grant will provide desks, benches, chairs, tables, computers, and toilet equipment for Shree Saraswoti Secondary School in Chalalganesthan, Indrawati Secondary School in Jyamdi, and Shree Janahit Higher Secondary School in Khanalthok. All schools are in the Kavre District of Nepal. We anticipate the project will begin in the fall of 2016 and be completed by the summer on 2016. Rotarians from Dhulikhel have already been in contact with school management, teachers, and the parents committee to outline what is needed to make the schools effective in providing quality education to the students. Rotarians from Dhulikhel will be primarily responsible for planning and implementation of the grant. International partners will provide the majority of funding, coordination, and financial management.

DDF contributions in grey are pending approval of the corresponding district committee.
Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
