In the remote districts of Thane, there is little by ways of blood collection and storage. This project will provide for a blood donation van and satellite storage unit to an NGO, KWO. KWO is FDA and SBTC approved and has been working since 2007 providing units at concessional rates to most and free to needy and Thalassemia patients. The project is expected to impact 14.5m tribal population where more than 45% live below the poverty line.
