Music for Peace aims to provide underprivileged children with music education. The system tries to reach as many children as possible and offers them music lessons completely free-of-charge. The ultimate goal is to make the sound of peace heard through music. This goal is in line with the principle as coined in the UN Convention on Children's Rights, stating that every child has a right to participate in
the creation of art. Most of the children come from socially and economically underprivileged backgrounds.
The program moves to its own venues with solfeggio classes, acoustic chambers, performance halls, libraries, and dining halls. Both the children at the
centers and those in the workshops at some primary schools were, served a proper meal every day. Music for Peace has its doors open to all children with limited means who want to engage in music, regardless of her or his musical talent. In order to include as much of the children's milieu as possible, parents are also encouraged to participate in the programme and they are regularly invited to rehearsals and concerts. The latter are employed mainly from among the parents to contribute to the microeconomy of the neighbourhood The program transforms the conventional. The group lessons provide a space and time that exalt sharing, effort, and unity with classmates helping each other and in fact being responsible for each other's training.Music for Peace makes use of art and culture in a pragmatic way, investing in human and social resources in an underprivileged area that needs urgent improvement in community facilities.Music for Peace reaches out to as many children as possible to teach them music as long as possible, regardless of their talent and background. Cultivating each and every child's musical skills to its peak,Music for Peace provides intensive advanced programmes for those who are even more committed and talented, supporting and encouraging their teaching and leadership skills. The workshops and lessons run by Music for Peace at the centres and schools are open to all children and youth for free.Participation and support of both the family and the community are essential elements in the system of Music for Peace.
