The final authorization was obtained on July 21, 2017 and the GG application automatically submitted and then approved on that same day! GRC funds in the amount of $1,050 (including the 5%, $50 fee) were also mailed in on that day. The separate bank account was set up on July 24, 2017 and that information uploaded into the grant form.

Yacine is presently in Geneva, Switzerland starting her studies for a Masters in Global Health at the U. of Geneva.

Yacine is completing her studies in Global Health at the U. of Geneva and has been selected as one of 7 students to be invited to participate in a Work/Study Field Trip to Latecia, Colombia to study the medical conditions of indigenous people who have been forced to live in urban areas. A Bluebonnet Society Grant has been approved to help fund this experience.

Yacine successfully completed her field trip to Colombia, as part of her studies at the U. of Geneva, and stopped by Texas on her way back to Geneva to give the Grapevine RC an update on her studies and the results of the field trip, in August 2018. She has returned to her studies in Geneva.

Yacine Ndiaye is completing her studies at the U. of Geneva. She completed a work/field study project in the Amazon, in Leticia, Columbia last August where she studied Eco-epidemiology in relation with diarrheal diseases among the indigenous communities there. This project was funded by a D-5790 Bluebonnet Grant.
