Proposal Form

Currently, many young persons completing school or dropping out of schools in Nakuru lack any skills for either self-employment or formal employment. Many sit idle in various bus stops asking motorists for money while others harvest and sell sand in the local quarries, a dangerous undertaking that regularly lead to deaths as the quarries collapse. The overall objective of this project is to provide vocational training equipment and supplies that will enable skills' training and equip students enrolled at Hopewell School(charitable education centre) and out-of-school community youths with practical livelihood skills that will empower them to earn incomes and live decently. Skills acquired will also enable students perform various maintenance and repair activities of school furniture, electrical and plumbing works thereby reducing operational costs.

Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
