Project Description Region: North America Country: USA Location: San Diego Total Budget: $32,000 Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment The project is to support Ms. Anna Blyum's first year of doctoral training in research to prevent and treat substance use in adolescents and young adults. The main objectives of the project are to identify and understand areas of needed research among youth to prevent substance use and possible addiction later in life. This doctoral training will provide foundational educational experience and research skills that Anna will be able to apply in Kazakhstan to address substance use problems among youth and improve their opportunity for a healthier life as they transition into adulthood.
