Project Description

Region: South America

Country: Brazil

Location: Carangola

Total Budget: $61,875

Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment

The Project aims to purchase 4 mechanical ventilators for the local Hospital, for its usage in the ICU sector. That way, we are able to enhance the medical capacity of the Hospital in 25 - 30% a year. The timeline for it is open, once we can buy the equipment at any time. The funds will be this way - our local Rotary will provide 11,250 dollars; the 4580 district 11,250 as well. The International partner (District or Club) will invest 10,000 dollars in it and World Fund will match with another 16,250 dollars. The total will be 48 750 dollars. The club members will provide the data from the usage of the equipment and assure the proper use of them, especially me, once I work as a doctor at the hospital.

Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
