Rotary Club of Gwalior Imperial has decided to set up a Blood Bank at Gwalior(Madhya Pradesh,INDIA).

At present Gwalior Division consisting of districts has a population of 7million.

There are only 3 component Blood Bank of these One Government Blood Bank and two private blood bank are running smoothly. We have surveyed the area and observed that there exist a requirement of Blood Bank having all the modern equipments for testing and adequate storage of blood to serve the humanity in the area.

As per the data published in daily newspaper Dainik Bhaskar there is almost 40% shortage of Blood in this area.

the Bleeding capacity of the proposed bank will be around 20-30 units per day which in turn can serve up to 60-90 patients per dy i.e roughly 25000 patients annually.
