A Meaningful Global Grant Opportunity in the Holy Land

The Rotary Club of Bethlehem, in partnership with Bethlehem University, has proposed a highly significant and truly sustainable project to benefit occupants of two Palestinian refugee camps within walking distance of the University. The objectives of the grant are to teach gardening skills, provide access to, and use of, a community garden, improve nutrition, and create income for the residents.

The Rotary Club of Bethlehem is looking for International Sponsors who can contribute DDF. Sponsors will have abundant volunteer opportunities with the project.*

Contact Rtn Professor Mazin Qumsiyeh mazin@qumsiyeh.org if you have some interest.

*Consult your tax advisor about a possible charitable deduction for work on a Rotary Foundation project.

Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
