Project Description Region: South America Country: Uruguay Location: Montevideo Total Budget: $38,788 Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment Our Institution, Rotary Clubs Pozos del Rey, Aires Puros-Cerrito, Atahualpa-Parque Posadas, Ituzaingó-Maroñas y Paso del Molino was founded over 20 years ago and it collaborates with the community together with the work of Rotarians and the generous collaboration of friend Institutions and companies. In this opportunity, we need to obtain a Global Subvention from the Rotary Foundation, to implement a Project of physical, mobile and cardio-respiratory rehabilitation, acquiring the Equipment for a Physiotherapy Room for the Northern Hospital Center, Gustavo Saint Bois in the Department of Montevideo. The objective of this Project is the total and opportune rehabilitation of the patients, improving substantially their reinsertion in the daily life and minimizing the consequences. Presently, with the available equipment about 550 consultations take lace per month, and they would like to turn them into 1,500 with the inclusion of the new equipment.
