Project Description Region: Asia Country: India Location: Vandavasi Total Budget: $70,000 Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment We Rotary district 3231 compiles four revenue district and has a population of over 2 Million. Dialysis is one of the first technological innovations in medicine - and the only treatment that does not involve transplant, and yet allows a patient with end-stage organ failure to live long healthy and productive lives. Currently, about 2.4 million people are alive on dialysis worldwide. It is estimated that about 200,000 new patients develop end-stage kidney failure every year in India so we Rotary district 3231 along with Rotary Club of Vandavasi decided to set up a Dialysis centre in the primary health center and give dialysis in a lesser cost to the economically challenged rural people. This will help the peoples to get a Quality treatment at a very minimum cost. The necessary equipment will be purchased and exclusive training is to be given to the technicians, nurses and the complete operations will be monitored by a special team by the Rotary Club of Vandavasi and our District 3231 Chairman's The beneficiaries of the project: We have planned to provide 5 units of dialysis machines in our dialysis centre and a near 45-50 peoples will get benefitted by the centre and this will make the difference in their lives.
