The practice of physical activities is fundamental for a healthy life and for the prevention of diseases. Sedentary lifestyle has been responsible for several diseases, especially cardiovascular diseases. Many people would even like to practice physical activities in academies, but do not have the financial resources to do so, and therefore end up adopting a sedentary lifestyle, becoming disease prone. The People's Academy will encourage physical activity to the people of that region, especially those who can not afford a private gym. This project aims to build a popular academy in the square of the Alto da Cruz neighborhood in Floriano-PI. The project will benefit a population of about 5,000 people, among children, youth, adults and the elderly, in five neighborhoods of Floriano, with the support and guidance of the Municipal Health Secretariat, through the Family Health Strategies (FHT) teams and NASF (Family Health Support Center), which are already installed in the region, as well as urbanize a square that has already been built.

Project Status
Dropped
This project has been "Dropped". Check the history log entries to see why it was dropped.
Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
