The overall objective of the project is to qualify and increase the
number and diversity of surgeries performed in our hospital through the
purchase of a Surgical Arc equipment.
Specific objectives are:
- Equip Hospital São José with the best technology available in Brazil
for the surgeries that require Arco-Surgical equipment;
- Strengthen the technological structure of our new Surgical Center;
- To make viable Orthopedic, traumatic, vascular, urological, general
surgeries, etc .;
- Expand the number of surgeries performed by our institution São José
Hospital;
- To meet the demand for surgeries in the municipality of Antônio Prado
and region.
It is estimated that, with the implementation of this project, in
addition to the municipalities already served, totaling 20 thousand
inhabitants, it will be possible to serve the population of the
municipalities of Nova Roma do Sul, Nova Pádua, Flores da Cunha, São
Marcos, Campestre da Serra, Monte Alegre do Sul, Vila Flores,
MuitosCapões (100km away and 80mil hab), totaling 100 thousand
inhabitants within the radius of attendance.
Rotarians will be involved in coordinating, guiding, and overseeing the project.
The international partner participates in the project through the goals of Rotary International, promoting peace among nations, assisting the less fortunate in obtaining resources within the established emphases.
With the current structure that make up the São José Hospital Society, there are approximately 30,000 ambulatory visits and 3,000 hospitalizations annually. These services are performed by medical and nursing professionals in the clinical, surgical, obstetrical, gynecological, cardiological, urological, psychiatric, diagnostic and other areas. In recent years, reflecting the improvements already implemented, services have grown 8.50% per year.
Based on this reality, we are justifying this project, with the aim of promoting a greater number and type of general, orthopedic, vascular, urological, etc. surgeries. which end up being referenced to other municipalities, overlapping and increasing the waiting queues, which we intend to reduce, as well as to relieve the emergencies of large hospitals.
