WATER FOR THOSE WHO ARE THIRSTY FOR LIFE

With the objective of bringing water to the small communities of the countryside of the State of Ceará and seeking to solve effectively the problem of local water supply, we selected four poor communities to be contemplated with: the equipment installations for water extraction in wells already dug but still inoperative; the construction of fountains and family sanitation that aims to favor the community's water supply, health and socialization among participants residents. There will be approximately 120 families benefited. The operational process will be overseen by Rotary Fortaleza - Sul members and founders of the RAIN WATER project. As a strategy to make the project's sustainability feasible, donation campaigns will be developed through local associations that will also be responsible for the administrativo and distribution of adequate consumption, and the community's awareness regarding the maintenance of the structures built and the collective equipments installed. The project requests the value R$ 135,600.00 (US $ 33,668.00) to carry out the project.

The deadlines for implementing the project's steps will be 180 days after the date of receipt of financial resources. The steps include socialization with the community, installation of equipment, construction and publication of the results of the projects's actions.

The project hopes to get partners for fundraising, as well as the Rotary International's Global Grant.
