The municipality is situated in the semi-arid with low income index and has a population of 125,000 inhabitants being approximately 78,750 women. Breast cancer has a high prevalence in Brazil, the fourth disease being more present in the needy communities, and this image developer will make it possible to prevent women from low income and/or extreme shortages. The cost of this equipment is $46.739 dollars, of which the district 4490 will enter with $5.000 dollars, with the need of an international partner that comes with $18.370 dollars. This equipment will be donated to the aforementioned Hospital, which will be responsible for the maintenance of the use of the equipment, as it has a multidisciplinary team that works continuously in that area. This equipment, by enabling early diagnosis of breast cancer will save many lives, will mutilate a much smaller number of women, thereby diminishing government spending with the treatment of this mutilating disease. The area of focus of this project is prevention and treatment of diseases.
This project needs to receive some pledges to go to the next level. Please check the "Financing" tab to see the list of current pledges. Once the amount pledged is equal to the project budget, the status of the project will be automatically changed to "Fully Pledged". Click here to pledge support for this project.
Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
