Project Description Region: South America Country: Brazil Location: Toledo Total Budget: $36,000 Areas of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment, Community economic development The institution Fazenda Esperança works for the recuperation of people dependent on drugs. At the same time, it creates conditions for their new inclusion in society. This project aims to offering equipments which will be used in a greenhouse of vegetables and somme materials needed for bakery production. These equipaments and materials will permit to better serving the in-participnats, in view of their recuperation and social re-insersion. The project will also contibute specifically for professional training through different courses and the daily work of the beneficiaries cultivating vegetables and plants or producing breads and sweets. At the same time, selling the excedent at the local commerce, the institution will be stronger with an income generation project and will have better conditions for auto-sustainability.
