List the community needs you identified that your project would address.

1. By providing state of the art equipment it would address the concerns of the public and society.

2. Keeping pace with rapid advances in medical science and the same would also act as a life saver.

List any needs you identified that your project would not address.

1. Looking to the population size the number of Upper Gastrointestinal Endoscope required is higher but, however 1 unit will be a good beginning.

List the community's assets, or strengths.

1. The community has a good number of philanthropist therefore a lot of small requirements are taken care of but this being financially a major project therefore Rotary Club of Jodhpur Midtown intends to take this up through Rotary Global Grant Project.

Considering the needs and assets you listed, explain how you determined the project's primary goal.

Gastroenterology is one of the heavily burdened branches of medicine having a lot of patients to be treated. Upper Gastrointestinal Endoscope will act as a boon for such patients in effective diagnosis and treatment of immediate beneficiaries which will be people belonging to economically disadvantaged section of the society.

How would your project's activities accomplish this goal?

Upper Gastrointestinal Endoscope will provide accurate diagnosis of problems relating to Gastroenterology and thereby help the Doctors in providing effective treatment.

What challenges have prevented the community from accomplishing the project's goals?

The equipment Upper Gastrointestinal Endoscope costs approximately Rs. 20 lakhs. Since the government hospital is State funded it has been difficult to acquire the said equipment.

How is the community addressing these challenges now?

The Doctors through their past experience and with the available resources are providing the treatment. In lot of cases a number of critical patients have to referred to further major medical hubs which is both threat to the life and as well heavy financial burden on the pocket.

Why are the project's activities the best way to meet this community need?

Rotary Club of Jodhpur Midtown is dedicated to community service and has been working towards providing service to the society. The Club has taken up various projects in the past and has successfully completed them.
