Reduce the hospital stay of patients with the use of minimally invasive surgeries at the University Hospital "Dr. Jose Eleuterio Gonzalez".
This project will allow the reduction of hospital stay as well as a lower risk of intra-hospital complications, reducing co-morbidities, disability, and shortening the reincorporation of patient's daily or work activities, improving the quality of life of the beneficiary and their families. The donation of a laparoscopy equipment will allow surgical attention through minimally invasive surgeries instead of normal open surgeries.
The most frequent surgeries with Laparoscopic use are: Laparoscopic cholecystectomy, Lapatoscopy appendectomy, Laparoscopic Tencknoff catheter placement and Thoracoscopy.
Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
