This is a Wash in School Toilet Block project for providing permanent sanitation & hygiene facilities to primary school children, so that they can focus on their education, improve their health, sanitation habits & reduce absenteeism in four rural village schools, about 40 km west of Pune City. Each school will get segregated toilet blocks for boys and girls with 3 toilets and 6 urinals each, hand-wash and drinking water stations. Total number of beneficiaries will be 600+ students and staff in 4 rural primary schools.
Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
