The project aims to purchase equipment for the blood draw and storage rooms of the Guarapuava-PR Regional Blood Center, as well as to attract potential voluntary blood donors. The Blood Center provides blood components for an estimated macroregional population of over 500,000,000, distributed in 20 municipalities in central Paraná. Thus, the goal of this unit will be the annual receipt of approximately 8,000 blood donors from the entire central west region of Paraná, and to process over 22,000 blood component bags. Such equipment will ensure donor comfort and safety and adequate blood storage and distribution conditions.
