Project Description Region: South America Country: Brazil Location: Aracruz - ES Total Budget: $37,500 Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment The project will be developed at the Betânia Therapeutic Community facilities, located in Aracruz-ES - Brazil. The institution focuses on the care of men victims of drug addiction. It is the structuring of a bakery, with the acquisition of equipment and furniture, aiming directly to benefit 45 residents, which today is the maximum capacity of hospitalization that the institution has, but indirectly the reach is much broader and immeasurable, since the time The period of stay for treatment is 9 months and these residents, in most cases, have families who will also benefit from this project. Still about why structure a bakery, the process of treatment of residents has in its program the occupation in labor activity to keep them busy and productive. Making bread, cakes, cookies and the like is a part of the desired activities to be developed by the Therapeutic Community in the recovery process.
