Project Description

Region: South America

Country: Brazil

Location: Piracicaba

Total Budget: $300,000

Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment

The focus of this project is the recovery and acquisition of equipment for the recovery of children and adolescents with intellectual disabilities, delays in gross and fine motor skills, cerebral palsy, balance deficits, apraxia and other syndromes. The Piracicaba Rehabilitation Center (CRP) is located at 500 Almirante Barroso Street, São Judas Tadeu, Zip Code 13416-398, Piracicaba / SP. The Sensory Integration room tries to serve approximately 220 children and adolescents. The rooms for therapeutic care have not been revitalized for over 30 years, all infrastructure and equipment are scrapped and outdated. Such a situation puts at risk the people involved in the treatment and / or impediment of it. With the acquisition of infrastructure equipment and recovery, The RC and the Association of Parents and Friends of Exceptional APAE are responsible for the maintenance and sustainability of the project.

Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
