The existence of two women from the community with knowledge of File handicrafts, as well as their desire to teach other women to learn this kind of handicraft, is justified by the present project which will contemplate several women and others interested in this handicraft art as a possibility of learning an activity that generates income.
The main objectives proposed in the project are basically directed to: Provide participants with specific knowledge of Filet crafts; Create affective bonds between the participants; Expand the Filet handicraft in the community; To enable the artisans to sell their products favoring their work and income; Provide all participants, family and community with information about associations, entrepreneurship, leadership, sales and product prices and formalization of the artisan and her business; Sensitize women to improve their level of education.

Project Status
Dropped
This project has been "Dropped". Check the history log entries to see why it was dropped.
Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
