Project Description

Region: South America

Country: Brazil

Location: Flores da Cunha

Total Budget: $98,856

Area of Focus: Community economic development

Its purpose is to reduce the high costs of electricity and to encourage energy saving. In addition, the new technology brings more quality in power generation, which today is so important to society and the environment. With the implementation of photovoltaic solar energy, the Hospital of our city through savings in energy costs will be able to invest more resources in its services, expanding and improving the services to our community. Sunlight is an abundantly available, renewable, natural, sustainable and clean energy resource. Photovoltaics will provide the hospital with better quality management, lowering its monthly energy costs by up to 50%.

Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
