The project aims to humanize the assistance to 1,300 low-income people with sickle cell disease who frequently travel from all municipalities of the state of Minas Gerais for the treatment of bloodletting and blood transfusions at the HEMOMINAS Foundation in Belo Horizonte (MG) - this will be achieved by improving DREMINAS facilities with the implementation of a professional kitchen, bedrooms and children-family's coexistence room. DREMINAS, a non-profit institution founded in 1988 by family members and people with sickle cell disease, aims at the social organization of these people and the reduction of mortality from sickle cell disease in Brazil, providing 2,100 recurrent social services per month and the promotion of educational actions and health professional qualification on the diagnosis and treatment of sickle cell disease.

Project Status
Dropped
This project has been "Dropped". Check the history log entries to see why it was dropped.
Note: as of July 1, 2015 there is a 5% additional support fee for cash contributions. This fee does not appear in the financials above because it does not apply if the funds are sent directly to the project account (without going through TRF, and therefore without Paul Harris credit). Clubs sending their cash contribution to TRF must be aware they will have to send an additional 5%.
