Area of Focus: Disease prevention and treatment

This program will provide two 40 foot containers of medical equipment and supplies to the Karakalpakstan region of Uzbekistan. It will also provide training and a maintenance plan for the equipment and supplies. The population in this area suffers from many health related ailments caused by the vast area of contaminated land that is now dry sea bed of what used to be part of the Aral Sea. Mr. Javlon Vakhabov, Uzbek Ambassador to the U.S., has specifically requested this assistance from Rotary

Project C.U.R. E. is undertaking a needs assessment to determine the optimum medical equipment and supplies to be delivered to and put to use in this area of Uzbekistan
