Project Description Region: Africa Country: Ghana Location: Karaga Dist Total Budget: $35,254 Area of Focus: Basic education and literacy Karaga district in Northern region of Ghana has been one of the poorest district in Northern Ghana. Due to the illiteracy rate and the porvety level of the Inhabitants, they still do not see the need to send their childern school. They like engaging them for farm work and give their child for early marriage. To encourage them and educate them we want to provide 500 children with school uniforms at least 2 each and pre-school text books to beneficiaries. Currently our Club is educating the targeted villages the need send thier wards to school. The Project is planned to take place in July 2013 to Sept. 2013, the begining of new academic year. The project funds will be used to procure the uniforms and the pre-text books and exercise books.
